"dancing diamonds" occur in a turbojet engine when afterburner (also called reheat) is deployed due to the shaping of the exhaust cone and the "local" speed of sound within the exhaust core causing standing pressure waves, visible at the high density of surface level atmospheric pressure

This is a totally different engine, being a hybrid rocket engine that is ignited at 50,000 ft ... so much reduced atmospheric pressure and a completely different design of exhaust module

:)

If any "engineers" on here have a deep interest in "engines" I can recommend this .. takes an hour but well worth it ..

It's impressive stuff for sure, but just playing around in the upper atmosphere compared to the Apollo programme of the 1960's!  :-\

I think we'll be looking to China for the next manned deep space mission!  ::)  ;)
