Another one lives for a new year.
« on: 12 January 2014, 20:35:57 »

Got the estate tested yesterday. Only thing the tester commented on was a tiny bit of play on R o/s wheel bearing. Not noisy or grumbling, just a bit more play than the other side.

Given it's averaged 3.5k miles per year for the past several years, guess I can live with that.

Braw!!   :)

Keeping Omegas on the road is not cheap but very worthwhile, another year of happy motoring :y

True. Just put two Goodyear F1's on the rear with another pair in the garage for when the fronts expire past my acceptable limits in a few months. The perils of living in a 'new town' with lots of speed bumps and roundabouts...... ::)

Not wanting to kick anything off, but... ::)

How many miles do you get out of your f1's Broocie do you know? Might try them next on the front. :)

Chris .. my F1's have done 15000 and are now due replacement, which will be done when the wishbones are done as they are now on their way out after 25000 ... :(

Need 4 new tyres on mine soon but jury is still put on brand
Set of bridgestones on 2.5 just covered 20k and still life left in them but may go the F1 route on the 3.2 as seem a popular choice from others on forum

I don't have a note of fitting date/miles but recon on about 10k plus on the rears which are now on the front with a little over 3mm tread left on them. Shoulders wear on the front before much else due in part to roads layout round me and a fair modicum of driving style.  :-[

The rears wear nice and even across the face despite some demanding driving and take offs but, if driven sedately no doubt 15k is achievable as per entwoods post.

It's the eternal payoff. If there grip available you use it but the downside is obviously wear.....
