Odd that no-one has mentioned what I drooled over ..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jensen_FF

When I was in my early 20's I went out with a lass whose father owned a garage, and one day he came home with one and let me have a drive in it .. absolutely phenomenal !!

they beat Audi to it by years ..... as for the ABS - it could've been better!  ::)
But I'd love one ........ a 'normal' Interceptor would be OK  ;D

I've only ever seen one ...... and that was a show years back. It amuses me that the passenger seat is narrower than the drivers so they could get the 4x4 in  :y

The FF has two vents on the rear of the wing (as above) ....... the 2 wheel drive ordinary car only has one  ;) ;)

there is/was an Interceptor in a local body shop's yard ..... the interiors aren't that inspiring to look at by comparison to a modern 'prestige' car (this one was a black interior in a black car ..... all a little dog eared around the edges  :()

My Dad rented a barn in the mid '80s to a wealthy chap to store a few old cars in and he put a Jensen FF, 2 Jensen Interceptors and a Rover V8 in there for a couple of years.  :o  :)

Oooo and I'll add a Saab 900 Turbo to my list!  :y

VX Cresta  (Column change and front bench seat, I loved that car)

Silly me, I meant the VX Viscount not the Cresta. I remember the manuals that came with the car, must have been about a dozen of them from the Powerglide transmission to electrics etc

Seeing the FF above reminded me of a friend of my dads who had one and a Mk1 Lotus Cortina. Just plain greedy if you ask me  ;D ;D

The SP version with the 7.2 litre V8 was the one to go for. :y

I believe that SP stood for 'Six Pack'.
