End of an era, hope he finds something to do with his spare time, maybe he can go on a road trip in one of his fine steeds, probably best not to choose the Regata ;D

Ahhhh, proper cars. I think I need some tissues.

I wonder if I'll ever feel the same about Vauxhalls...

Can't see if it's got a beige steering wheel from here, but I've got high hopes for him. ;D

Just the motor for TB:

I nearly bought a 820e in the late 80s. Hopelessly cheap for a decent enough drive, and quick enough for a youngster. The deal fell through, and I bought the POS Belmont that I hated instead ;D

I don't think I've ever been so far north of the speed limit than back in the early 90's when I went to pick up the usual shitbox Mk.3 Escort hire car that I had when visiting a customer site, only to be told they'd screwed up the bookings and I'd have to take the M.D.'s 827 instead.

IIRC, it was a bit floaty at <cough> MPH and needed 2 motorway lanes. ::)

I had one for some time, when younger, friends took the Mick saying it was an old mans car, I LOVED that car, a real flying machine and not aware of any handling issues particularly unless turning hard left onto the A10 foot down...... :D :D  I also did some Minicabbing in it as well as a chauffeur service back in the day....... ;) ;)

Not their worse car by a long way although early models had transmission problems iirc

I remember being at a couple of Hertz depots and saw several come back on a flatbed

They are like paragons of virtue compared to in my opinion the Princess :'( :'( what a piece of junk that was, they should have scrapped them as they were pushed off the production line ;D

I remember testing a customers 6 cyl version, came along the dual carriageway to turn left, turned in nicely started to accelerate out of the bend ;D ;D ;D and the torque steer nearly broke my wrist,  and the jewel in the crown Hydragas ;D ;D ;D
