The thing with the 800's were they were behind the competition from day one on all fronts particularly handling, I always had a theory that it was the 800 being permanently bottom of the pile that kept the second from bottom Granada in the market for a further 18 months  ;D

As I understand it, it was designed for the American market (even though not initially launched there), so handling wasn't a design consideration ;D

Having driven a few, esp the facelifted ones, they aren't that bad to drive, even with some miles on them, tad wallowy (but then so is the Omega). I very nearly bought one instead of the MV6, but we decided to go with an Omega because Mrs TB liked the idea of dual zone heating ;D.

I stumbled across the MV6 after seeing so many dogs of Omegas that were advertised as fine examples...  ...I nearly gave up and went back to the Rover I originally looked at ;D
