Cheapest Omega tyres
« on: 09 February 2014, 00:28:39 »

Well we havn't had a decent tyre thread for a while, so I thought I'd start one!!  :y

Although this is intended to be a tyre thread with a difference and more of a lighthearted (hopefully  ::) ) competition to find the cheapest brand new tyre to fit an Omega.  :)  Full size tyres only, skinny spares not counted!!  ;)

Here's my offering, a Goodride SA-05 225/55 R16 95W @ £44.80

I posted this yesterday in another topic area (Cheaper from Germany):-

"If anyone is in the Chelmsford area, I would thoroughly recommend
Jus-Tyres
Unit 27, Cromar Way,
Waterhouse Business Park,
Chelmsford, Essex
CM1 2QE
07877776725

Last September, in a hurry pre-MOT, I bought a part-worn 225/55/R16 from them, all inclusive, for £25 - and it was mint, hardly used at all! It was intended merely as a quick and cheap fix for the MOT, but I am happy enough to leave it on until it wears out.
They inspect every tyre for possible sidewall scuffs and damage, etc. and are extremely helpful.
Obviously, I have mo connection with the company except for being a satisfied customer."

I forgot to add that the tyre wasn't a cheapo budget one, but a Continental Premium Contact 2.

Bung a couple of bags of sand over the rear axle and it will be fine  ;D ;D

Yes that's very cheap Ron even for part worn, but I was thinking cheapest brand new tyre.  ;)

The older RWD ones always were when empty. Handling improves dramatically when loaded. Apparently  :-X
