Well I found out the answer.....

Its NO   :(

I went to see an old base operator with years of experience..and since he doesnt work for my firm would give me his unbiased opinion.

If the firm i work for have an operating license for North Wilts district.....but dont have an office there........then no i carnt.....if they did then yes I can.

He clarified for me the picking up and dropping outa area........as long as its prebooked...it doesnt matter the charges applied....and perfectly legal.

But my firm may have an office in North Wilts shortly  :-/ because the guy i spoke to asked what licenses they held........i told him, Swindon obviously, North Wilts, Vale of the White Horse and also Coltswold......he reckoned the only reason they hold all those licenses are they must be planning on take overs of other firms in those districts.

Its a bit of a mindfield trying to understand all the rules.......as the guy i spoke to.......has a car licenced by one authority and has a PH drivers licence by another.......work that one out and its legal  ;D

Thats what i thought might be the answer.

How is the PH business in the rest of the country, busy or not?
Its absolulutely terrible here in staffs. Am about a 1/3 my normal takings down since xmas.

TBH, I thinks its about the same level as it normaly is here.....the last couple of weeks its slowed down a bit.......Fri/Sat evenings are certainly not as busy as they used to be.......undecided why tho  :-/

We have completely lost all our pub rushes now here.
Last night was a particulary bad one too. still in double figures for a 12 hour shift  :'( and we are one of the busiest and largest firms in the area.

TBH i think the smoking ban hasn't helped matters, well that and our local council are issuing badges like sweets.
