Clutch changed - thanks to all!
« on: 12 February 2014, 10:55:33 »

OE03 EWW 3.2 petrol manual saloon police special
Car now fully reassembled and road tested. All works OK, no clutch slip.
I thank all members of this forum for all the advice when I got stuck, and JamesV6CDX for his excellent maintenance guide. I had the advantage of use of a pit, which made it much easier. It still took me about four weeks, so I have a bit of work to do before I can get it down to James' 4 hours.

Thank you.It is the first Senator or Omega that I have not scrapped when the clutch failed.  I was watching e-bay all the while I was changing it, but I succeeded. Next time it will be easier.

I've got OE03EWL !
Is that also an ex-Thames valley police 3.2 manual police special? I bought mine at Auction at Witney, straight from the police. No radio, holes here and there where police kit had been, and a long service record including a cat change at 90,000 miles and four clutch changes.
