Plan C
« on: 14 February 2014, 00:11:37 »

I wonder if the SNP have one after being told that Scotland will not be able to use Sterling as their currency in the event of independence.  ::)  :-\

Plan A was to join the Euro and if I'm right I believe that Alex Salmond is on record as saying that Scotland would adopt the Euro as "the English Pound is a millstone around Scotland's neck" but then when the Euro didn't look so good, they adopted Plan B, which was to keep the Pound and retain the services of the Bank of England, which is what English people wanted Scotland to do anyway! (Apparently!  ::) )

Except 2 Englishmen and a Scotsman didn't agree, namely George Osborne, Ed Balls and Danny Alexander who have politely told Mr Salmond to think again...  ::)

So I'm waiting to see what they're going to come up with next!!  :y

I have said it before, I personaly would be dissapointed to see Scotland as independent, it would be like distancing your brother.

The centuries of banter between us and yet all still best mates could potentialy be under threat.

And imagine popping upto Edinburgh ar elsewhere for the weekend or to visit friends/family and having to get different currency.

I cant help but think this is a power trip by a few individuals

I cant see any other outcome than a vote for the union. The news channels report it as though it is neck and neck because thats how the self-interested bastards work but, as far as I can see, there is absolutely nothing going for a split. Nationalistic noises are just that. When its all done, I hope the fish family wind their necks in and take it on the chin. I dont want to hear this arguement every time there is an election of some sort.
In my opinion, a vote to leave the EU would be futile as well. Plenty of shouting and insults, then common sense will prevail.

The thing is, Salmond is a highly intelligent and articulate man. Its just a pity that he cant use these attributes in a more constructive manner.
There are a lot of his ilk in Eire.......dangerous men.

Yep...the Scots will see sense in the end.

Besides, they'd be lost without the guiding hand (and money) of 'Mummy England'. ::) ::) ::) :)

The thing is that the Scottish people will vote in 7 months time, and as of today the SNP can't tell you for certain whether Scotland will be able to stay in the EU or have to reapply as a new member or even what money you'll have in your pocket in 2016!  ::)

If I was a Scot I'd think these things would be rather important to know for sure before I voted....  :o

It's OK, because once the vote goes his way, Salmond will march in and "negotiate". Pfft! ;D

All 3 political parties have slammed the door in his face but no.. It'll be alright. ;D
