Elite seats to Mv6
« on: 16 February 2014, 21:20:22 »

Hi all,

I have an mv6. I just bought elite seats. The passenger seat perfect, but the driver sear dead. I am not sure, but probably it was fine before i bought. Conections looks fine, i moved the memory lead from the left side to the driver side, but nothing happend, just i got airbag light on the dashboard.
Any idea someone, or do you know somebody who can repair this for me in cambridgeshire?
In the memory swich there are only three leads, but in the seat switch lots of leads. May it is impossible to fit memory seat to mv6?
Thank you

There is a guide to the under-seat wiring changes needed.

In addition, your replacement seats need to come from the same era (prefacelift, minifacelift or facelift) as the car, else you'll not get it to work fully.

Pooc77 - you never answered by query earlier.  What age is the car. What age are the replacement seats?

If they are the correct seats, based on age, I'll willingly do it FOC if you fancy a day out, though I am the wrong side of Northampton.

If they are not the correct seats, I refuse to do it, sorry, as I do not believe in removing the car's safety systems.

Thank you for the quick answers!
My car 99, the seats 02. I know it not same, but i want to use all funkcions what i can. The passenger seat works fine including heating, all electric move, so i want to use the driver too. I know may i do not use the memory, but now i can not use nothing. I know that need to do some wiring jobs, so need some help, who repair this. I will pay for it, i don not want it for free, need somebody who can do it!
Thanks

Is it a facelift (window switches in drivers door)? 1999 is cutover period between mini facelift and full facelift.

If your car is a full facelift, my offer of fitting FOC (assuming you come to me - brackley, northants) still stands, if you fancy a day out one weekend.
