Flying one of those trikes was enough for me, let alone jumping out of it. Controls all @rse about face, 100 hp engine the size of a shoe box revving its' nads off, and if the fan stops the L/D is 6:1, you say? :o

Terribly inefficient wing, for a start, then think about the frontal area of the thing with the cockpit, pilots, all the rigging and a prop out in the airflow.

I thought the props on them things could be feathered

Pretty sure the one I flew just had a solid fixed-pitch job, but it was a good few years ago. They may have moved on since then.
