Got washers here mate  :y

Ive replaced the ball mechanism about 4 yrs ago , dont know what you mean by replace washers or where they should go   ???

There's a washer where the end of the arm pushes against the valve.

You're better off binning the ball float type & fitting something like this ie a silent flush.

Nice bit of kit that  :y

It's actually this I've fitted to two of our toilet cisterns. They're slim & have fitted with no fowling at all.  :y

If you have a siphon (lever) type flush, which will eventually fail, why dont you fit one of these while your at it.

Its what I always do for my customers

I like the flexibility of that handle, where does the water inlet pipe go though?

And the ships horn noise, I had that and just replace the ball valve as a unit, didn't cost much, took me years to work out why the pipes were banging, I thought it was in the ceiling or wall or similar......... ::) ::) ::)

Replace the washer in the float valve.

What he said ^. Just done the one in our header tank. Showers are a bit more relaxing now that thing isn't honking away. ;D

£3.99 from B&Q or 60p from the local DIY shop with a tin bath hanging outside. ;D

Thats a bottom (of the cistern STEMO) entry. If you have a side entry float valve tthen one of these with one of these. Never seen a all in one kit but that don't mean there isn't one

Andy, you just beat me to it! I've replaced all of my Portsmouth valves with Fluidmaster units, not only in the bog but in the tanks (storage and CH top-up); they fill quickly and quietly.
