Dentists.
« on: 06 March 2014, 19:08:08 »

Where do they hide? I mean most jobs you know somebody that's in the trade. Sparky's, Plumbers, Drs, mechanics, welders, roofers...etc.

I've never met a Dentist down the pub, for instance. Every other trade, obviously. But never a Dentist, especially not WHEN I BLOODY NEED ONE. :( ::)

Bloody typical. ;D

£145 for a filling that might need route canal anyway. Its a bit sore, but I think it will be ok. Cold no longer affects it.

I hate going to the dentist  :'(

Only three more fillings to go. :'(

Mmmmmerrrrr, its sore  :'(  :'(  :'( ;D(it's not too bad actually)

I once had real agro with a molar. Already had a filling in it, with route canal on one side, that went bad again about 10 years ago. Nhs Dentist, Spanish, think it was her first job. Failed to numb the nerve and drilled into a live tooth. Silly bitch, had to pay out £900 in damages via an nhs mediator.  >:(

She already said I had to be referred to hospital to remove another tooth(wisdom tooth maybe) where the roots had grown together like a claw, grabbing the bone in the jaw. Wacking great pair of pliers, two nurses holding my head, snapped the top off the tooth, then pulled the roots out one by one. I had a jaw the size of a cricket ball and blood and bone all over my collar when I came out.   :'(

Bloody dentists. Never again on the nhs either.  >:(

Some people do seem to have more problems with dentists than others. I have never seen anything other than a nhs dentist and have never had any trouble.

They do wriggle about a bit when confronted with a stubborn molar though. Sometimes they have to climb all over you.

My dentist used to be a Scottish second row International. Funny how I switch team support when I'm in the chair and he has a drill in his enormous mits.  ::) ;D ;D ;D

I met a dentist friend in a pub a few months back. His parting words were "oh, SH1t! it'll be another night in the chair at this rate! My train leaves in 5 minutes" as he chinned his pint and dashed out of the door. ;D

I moved to NHS a few years ago from a privately insured practice due to the fact that even though I was paying a monthly fee, I still had to pay a lot for treatment. I now have the best dentist I've ever had, private or NHS, who comes from Kerala. Superb chap, and a first class dentist. I broke a tooth on Tuesday evening this week, and had it repaired by 11.00AM on Wednesday morning.  :y :y :y
