Advertised on flea bay a 2002 ..2.6 cdx omega at £865.....He states that smokes a bit sometimes on start up..and this is normal for the v6.....please can you say if this is the truth or not or just an excuse to get rid of a bad one....thanks  :y

Common for the early 2.6's, cheaper stem seals were used, they leak, hence a puff of smoke.

My old 2.6 used to do that too.. Supposed to be common on the 2.6 due to poor quality valve seals fitted by Vauxhall... I covered 60k in that car with that fault .. Used around 1ltr of oil every 1k.
