what a sweet old guy  :) just happened to have a piece of his old spitfire in the closet. :y

I spotted this upload as one of the favourites of a Aussie You Tube member. We were all extolling the virtues of the Morris marina a while back & one of my comments referred to my Aussie cousin sending foto`s to me of his BL Morris 1500. Searching on You Tube for a video of the car in question I found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2OBgwQ8ks4

So at first glance, it looks like the old BL 1300 we all remember; but is that a MAXI 1500 engine in the thing ??? along with a taller looking front end.

Dig deeper in this blokes channel & look at his play lists for a V8 rebuild & one of my favorites his renovation of the Wolsley Farina 24/80 only in the land down under they got the smaller bodied car with the 6 cylinder engine as standard kit. He covers a lot of technical issues & appears to know his onions.

His channel is here if you`re interested  :y

Being from near the area, and Mrs TB's family all from Oxford itself, I was aware of RAF Mount Farm. This is now a "new" village of Berinsfield, and we have a member who lives there.

But what a touching piece of film, moreso as I'm off to France in the summer, on the 70th Anniversary of the landings

I suppose that must be the fate of these old airfields, going back a few years ago my mum walked me around the remains of RAF Holmsley south Airfield in the New forest. She spent time at Holmsley during 1945. I think it`s all been returned to nature now.
