Another MS scam?
« on: 21 March 2014, 10:21:21 »

Received an email in my outlook account pertaining to be from outlook telling me that parts of my account have been temporarily suspended due to some unusual activity, and that I need to verify it immediately...

It gives this link...

Link removed by Admin

Which shows NO reference to MS or outlook... Call me suspicious but my instinct is to report and bin it :-\

Any one else seen this recently  :-\

There are SO many of these scammers, asking for your personal details for verification.
Please be sure that no legitimate organisation will EVER ask you for any such details, and will always address you by name - "Dear Customer" is a dead give-away.

Very much a scam, and this is obviously one in the form of an email whereas others come in the form of a cold call. Just delete, and with telephone calls just do what I do; tell them to fxxk off! :y

Surely an upstanding lady such as yourself would not say such things, and would tell them politely not to call back :P

And I have been ignoring them for as many years, how people get sucked into those beggars belief, but they do..... ::) ::)

I regularly get one from pay pal saying my account has been suspended till I log in, and bt the same, always say my payment failed or was not made, to the point now that my bt bill is paid immediately and I keep the receipt......... :y :y

Yep even get some from banks who I don't bank with saying my account is suspended - just use common sense and delete scam emails straight off your email server ;)

Best response in the case of a phone call, just tell them you are going to get him/her asked for and leave the phone in a convenient place while continuing your daily business  :y
