My Orlando has de-depreciated
« on: 21 March 2014, 18:55:17 »

I was reading a post on the Chevvy forum today and, apparently, the what car website has stopped listing new car data on the Orlando. When the poster asked why he received this reply:

Unfortunately there are no new Orlandos left in stock in the UK. They've all been sold, and no more will be shipped here. Dealers were offering huge discounts to shift their supplies, and it's clearly worked.

So, as there are no new ones to compare prices with, the second hand value is fine. To check I did a check on thecarbuyingservice and they offered me, more or less, the same as a month ago.

I had an email from Webuyanycarforsweetfarcall informing me that my car was worth £600 more than their first guess on Monday... Hopefully by next Monday it will have increased to summat approaching actual value...

Depreciation shouldn't be a problem provided you keep it for a few years. :)

I actually like the Daewoo Orlando. :y :y

How sad is that? :-\ ;)

I like it more now than when I first got it. It has 'presence'. :y

Well it is certainly a change from the never ending parade of Vauxhall's....Fords.......etc...etc.

Three grand should buy a tidy example of the marque. :y

I can get all sorts into my Chevvy. Wheelchairs, prams, mobility scooters, a dog in a crate, even a massive supermarket shop. There are hatchbacks knocking about that won't do that, you know.

I'd still rather have the useless hatchback though. Even as a cabby.
