okay gaming types....   where do i get......

a 60GB PS3 , for a decent price, ....   and actually get delivery...   given that it's been discontinued.,

Wifey has expressed a desire for one for her birthday this weekend.

she definitely wants the 60Gb as she wants PS1&2 compatibility for all her other games.....

The backwards compat isn't great, one of the reasons they dropped it from newer models.

Eflay maybe one source, check out your local game store as they may have a second hand one that has ben upgraded or traded,
look on places like cash crusaders as someone may have traded in one

40GB does PS1, for PS2 the best device is - a PS2 - still in production

You will not a find a cheap 60GB anywhere - try Ebay if you like but they have all been snapped up.

TBH a 40GB is fine - a great console

1) I care not one jot about the compatibility....  , I aint; playing it../...   I just do the music for the damn games....   she plays them....     drives me fukcing nuts....

2) of course, let me just check our household policy has Sammy&Jamie cover....

we're covered for whatever you may do to the PS3 , but apparently we lack sufficient public liability, and legal cover for what Chrissy might do to you and Sammy thereafter.


think about it, I'm a big bloke, and no wimpy shrinking violet.....

she's just under 5'2" an a size 8.

yet i have her thumb print firmly embedded in the top of my skull.....      (why do you think i'm going bald.....   ?)  


you guys would have no chance....   i truly fear for Sammie's life....    especially given our proximity to the Thames....

Max, you have virtually zero chance of finding a 60gb PS3. They went out of production in November last year and sold out incredibly quickly after that.

As Jaime says, the compatability on PS2 ganes is hit and miss (I have a 60gb version and will vouch for this).
Buy the PS3 for what it is. An excellent BR player (moreso once firmware update done), and an impressive modern games machine.

didn;t realise it was last november they ceased, I thought it was march....

anyhooo... found one tonight on fleabay. bought and paid for.
not much more than £300
