Hmmm………............
« on: 27 March 2014, 03:46:36 »

Was just browsing as you do now and then  ::)

..... and saw this… LINK

This appears to be one fine example of the LS430  :-*, If only I had the cash  :'( ;D

These are really growing on me, LS400 not really, They look outdated, But still a hell of a car..

LS430 Going by AutoTrader figures the MPG is as good if not better than a 3.2 Omega, Would imagine those figures go out the window if floored mind.. Then again it's not the kind of car to get thrashed but to waft about in with enough oomph when needed, 0-60 around 6.7sec. Not forgetting the endless gadgets, Especially Like the idea of cooled seats for summer.

Like these as well..  :-* But these LS460's are even more ££££ but you get a lot of car considering their price tag when new.

Not to sure on the shape of that myself but the practicality of 4 doors is good. I am going to suffer when the Monza is finished later this year

I like the 460, but nearly £13k is a shed load for a 7 year old posh Toyota! :P  ;)

Anyway, why were you cruising Autotrader at 03.46.36??  :o  ::)  ;D

I know nothing  ;D ...

Yeah 13k for a 7 year old may seem expensive and it is, But these big LS Lexus do have a good reputation overall for high milage reliability, Considering that LS460 was probably around 60k+ New is it expensive at 13k and dropping  :-\ .. The LS430 is probably better value for money at the moment mind.

Like the big Lexus - was looking at these as a possible replacement for my old Elite, until I got the Jag.  The big Lexus are typically comfortable, quiet and capable of big mileages, but expensive to maintain.  Whatever you do don't consider the small Lexus - pile of crap compared to the big ones ;)

Personally Lexus wise I only like the LS model out of the range  :y

May well be a replacement contender in the future, Talking about a few years or so I'd imagine..

Not bad at all  :)

Still I'd rather the LS not just for the engine but the overall package  :y

I love the original LS400 ... they are insanely fast for what they are and I had use of my dad's LS400's when I first passed my driving test! First was a Black jade pearl / charcoal and second was a black one with gold alloys!  For old 1992 J registered cars they were both in stunning condition and could both top 150mph with ease (I never did this with them on the M1 to see how fast they would go)  :D

Possibly the most memorable cars I ever had the pleasure of driving ... Only real issue is the repair costs to be fair

But the newer engines, just like the older ones are astonishing! Only ever buy an LS400 if you can stand a £1 coin on edge on top of the engine, start it,rev it up and the £1 coin stays where you put it  :y
Unfortunately we don't get that level of refinement in a mig ... it would be fun to put in a 1UZFE V8 engine into a mig though  8)

Here's a video clip of a V6 Omega with a coin on top of the engine.

.. Yeah that could well be their downfall if/when things go wrong you'll regret buying one till it's fixed and you'll enjoy it once again... Well... intill it needs something again  ;D

You guys are insomniacs!  :o  ;D

I bet the hybrid Lexus's like the one I linked to earlier could come with some hefty repair bills if the electrickery went wrong or the batteries died....  ::)  :-\

You can buy a 7 year old Mercedes CLS 500 for £10,000..........original price almost £70,000. :y

I suggest that a CLS is easier on the eye than a Lexus, too. :y
