I don't have the disc(s) for my 2002 Omega.  Has anyone bought a new set (2010/11) recently? Any problems with installation?
Is this the latest version?

I believe that's the last set that will be made, due to system age. Ignore any guff that Navteq say about needing a setup disk, they lie (in the case of our NCDC series units), just the map disk required.

Not that our rules allow discussion of copied disks, but be aware, they will ruin the laser if you are tempted

Thanks for that. I have used an old Tom Tom for years quite happily but might buy the Navteq discs for the novelty and comparison. Your comment re copied discs is noted.

The systems is sparse of features. No camera warnings, no postcode entry. BUT supremely accurate in conditions where TomTom struggles with a weak signal.

Agree with TB.

The NCDC ,will get you there but map is poor and couldnt be compared with a stand alone unit like TomTom.

I rely on TomTom more due to the map detail,but like the features on the NCDC audio /computer info from the colour screen unit over monochrome

I bought a complete set of 2010/11 discs when they were first released (in advance of a still-waiting-to-happen European road trip in the MV6). They collect dust in the corner while my super awesome Garmin satnav works its magic between all our cars. When we venture abroad, however, I will use both systems - one as a backup for the other - although I anticipate them sending me along completely different routes to get to the same location, hehe.

As regular members will know, my TomTom is somewhere at the end of the Aston Expressway, due to my frustration when a single function device cannot perform that single function it was designed for.

At no point have I had the desire to replace the piece of shit.

Built in satnav for me every time now
