mate--anyweekend---got serious kicking chilli now mate--and also I can check gauge of steel-using my miggy as reference -to give idea got 8x4 sheet-£48--so some of that might do

sure-as said any weekend-as your gonna do some welding too---olivias 8 and she can weld---so bring some overalls mate--only way to learn is getting dirty paws! :y :y

got that when staying with my cousins in Kentucky - oh did you know-got another welder--the gas bottle is in pic-185 amp jobby--just right for chassis fabrication-2 weeks ago made a frame to locate diff on rover-as i ripped  out mounts--thatll learn me to boot it too hard eh ;D ;D

I imagine booting it hard is natural in that beast! we heard martin driving it from 4 streets away  ;D

not an expert on cut and weld jobbie but for covering the surface I recommend to sand till shiny bare metal with 80 (under the car)  and then mercedes approved glassurit epoxy 801-703 .. I always use this stuff and it never let me down.. 3-4 thick coats 5-10 minutes between layers .. it dries completely after 72 hours..  (so you cant move the car)

(if you are going to use this , be sure to read the product paper)

you cal also use hammer on it..

on painted parts doors etc 2 -3 layers and if you wont use extra filler coats dont go below 120-150

also I must note this filler must than be sanded with 600-800 for the paint for better adhesion

mate -in all honesty-metal can look bad-yet still be strong--photos useless for that--really need to poke and dig at it to check--myself would cut old out and rebuild--not mot bung plate over it type of thing-and yes can do wheel arches and Emd-stuff that ! paint is mine -all mine--Webby can have matt black ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
