it was the Granny that introduced me to big, comfortable, powerful cars ... never looked back since then .. :)

Lovely car, but to be honest, how much of this is 'rose Coloured Glasses' noisy, slow but great gear changes and heaters.  :y

No sorry Mike, The Sweeney was in the 1970s (I watched it as a new series then) and they used Mk1 Granada's! ;D ;) when I had a Ford Cortina Mk3 and loved the thought of going out with Jack Reagan! :-* :-* ;)

If you don't believe me there are plenty of web sites on this (still) great show and this is just one:

No No No, yes the Sweeny was the 70's, I have the CD collection, the car advertised was from the 80's. The Sweeny used a Consul 3.0L GT not the granada, though the same body shape. LZ, I am right, this time.  ;D ;D ;D

Edit, check out your link, and then appologise Publically  ;D ;D ;D :y

How the heck, when I AM RIGHT, you still seem to make me wrong.
Fact;
Sweeny in the 70's like I said.
Ford Consul. like I said. if they later used Granada's they were Mk 1's
You lined the link to the 70's and this car to the Sweeny not me.
How is it that as a woman you can still make a bloke, who is right look wrong?
I will be back in a couple of minutes. :-[
