It's easy enough on an Omega to drop the sump lug, however an extractor pump is less messy & saves crawling about on the floor. I have one for the Smart because they don't have a sump plug.  :y

Hi,

I also own a BMW 320i and the sump nut was seized and would not come off for love or money. I looked around to see if it was even possible to get the oil out a different way and that is when I cam across the Sealey 6.5L Manual Vacuum Oil and Fluid Extractor. Perfect for the amount of oil in the straight 6 so I got one.

I have never looked back. I think it's fantastic and would not change the oil any other way. It's quick and I don't have to crawl about on the floor or jack the car up anymore.

Yes I would definitely recommend one. I have done my sons Alfa Romeo and will be doing the oil change on my new/old Omega as well.

Hi i use to sell loads of them and they are great as long as you do not use them to transfer petrol which will ruin the seals they are a god send........having said that i use to drain sump every 3 oil changes as this way all the crap does come out. :y :y

That's a frequent argument for buying a sump with a drain plug for the Smart. However on the couple of occasions when I removed the sump on her car the inside was as clean as you could expect.

I have a Sealey 6 litre oil extractor and it is very useful for the autobox and rear axle but i still prefer to drain the engine oil using the sump plug.
