Remapped 2.6 (allegedly)

300bhp from a 2.6 without use of a turbo... Two words spring to mind... "Bull" and "Sheet"  ::)

Who wants to break it to him that painting your plenum blue doesn't make it faster  :)

one word : bollix!

without individual throttle per cylinder setup (non-existent in the picture) ,heavily worked cylinder head and very special map, there is no way a na 2.6 can produce 300 hp ..  even an 3.2 m3 with all those can hardly pass 300 hp..

speak to any race engine builder they will say that the MAX you cab get on a normally aspirated engine in 100BHP per ltr.

So a 2.6 should be no more than 260BHP (at a bloody hard push) but yes will require a lot of work at a cost of at least a couple of grand.

Some how I do not think the police will do that.

Police spec cars use same engines as road cars but the cars are lightened. maybe a slight remap but thats all.

Where's TheBoy?

We should get this thing on the rollers. He might be in for a new set of ear warmers at this rate. :D

300 BHP from a 2.6? ;D ;D ;D

Just "remapped to" 300 BHP, as if it's as simple as changing a few numbers in the map? Words fail me. ::)
