What failed for the first time on my 2.2?

So I've had my 2.2 since summer 2005, bought it with 80k on the clock, now 171k and 9 years ownership.

Something failed for the first time yesterday, what was it?

If it was a bmw i would say indicator,but thats impossible as we all know they are never used  ;D
