Booked in to a Vx dealer....
« on: 14 May 2014, 09:43:20 »

So the 3.2's climate is on the blink again, last year had it gassed back near my parents. It still had gas in the system at the time (I was told) - pressure was good? Worked well for the summer.

Now it's warm again, no super cold air  :(

Rang around a few places, prices ranged from KwikKrap's £49.99 to some independents asking £89  :o

Vauxhall Camberley, £59  :y

Could not be more helpful too about sorting a time to come in, I can drop if off Friday evening, for it to be done some time Saturday morning.

Bet it's a while since they have seen an Omega  ;D

Bet one of the valves is leaking, either be the lp or hp. Might be worth having new fitted as both only cost £9.00 the pair :)
gets ready to be proved wrong..Compressor,condensor, pressure valve..

I'd be very surprised if you drive out of Vx with a working Air Con for £59.  :-\

If it's died inside a year, though, something's not right. :(

That's the price to hook it up to the machine and press the button, presumably. ;)

So dropped it off today, confirmed gas and service and diagnostic for £59.

What did I see in the forecourt? A red VXR8  :-* :-* :-* apparently the owner traded it in for a black one. I hear black ones are faster  ::)

Asked to have a sit, I had a good nose over it. Not really had a chance to get up and close to one.

The size of the brake pads  :o - Very meaty, looked dead easy to change, too.

So first impressions? It was a '07 so first generation, manual, cloth seats.

The seats were fantastic, really, really comfy, straight away felt comfy. Nice driving position, dash layout all very nice.

Good space in the back too, the boot was very good. Nice and big for a LPG tank  ::) Looked a little shallow compared to Omega, but defo room for a tank.

£15k, '07, 49k Miles.

Next I wondered over to an Insignia Elite, lots of toys, memory seats ect. But no matter how much seat fiddling, still not getting comfy  :(
