F/S 16" CD Alloys with poor tyres
« on: 14 May 2014, 18:01:25 »

£15 each, x3 available. All tyres are poor and U/S. The centre caps are included. Located 4 miles from Oxford city centre. Wheels are in good condition, as it's pretty impossible to kerb the 16's  ::)

Exact tread depth's can be supplied, along with photo's of individual wheels.

I'm up Oxford way fairly often, so happy to pick these up and bring them down south if anyone is interested around here.   :y

Will these be ok for my '03 MV6 ? I really hate the 17s that it has.

But I would need a full set, so would need to get both lots or none of them.

Well maybe "hate" is a bit strong, but I don't like the "feel" or the ride of them compared with the 16s that I had on previous Omegas, plus I keep hitting the kerb with them.

They will indeed fit your MV6...I can meet Joff in Swindon if it makes collection easier  :y

Thank you Tunnie and Joff for the offers  :y

Joff, how much do you want for yours ? I'm kinda hoping that they are around the same as Joshs'

Collection isn't a problem I'm up and down the M4 frequently as I do a sort of weekly commute between West Wales and Enfield in North London, and going via Swindon & Oxford isn't much of a diversion. I go West on Thursdays or Fridays and East on Sundays or Mondays, all a bit variable.

Sounds reasonable

I'm a bit of a tyre idiot. I'm assuming that all five wheels will take the same size tyre ? What is that size ? I'm just looking into new tyre prices so I can look at total cost.

I've looked into this further, and by the time I've added a set of decent tyres, swapping wheels is goings to cost around £500 or more. Sorry, but on a 11 year old car it's very hard to justify this. Plus I would be "modifying" original specification which has insurance implications. I hate messing people about, but it's a no go on this, really sorry.

I could well change my mind if Josh throws in the Bentley convertible that he took my Mrs for a ride in at a Wycombe meet last year   ::)
