temp gauge sender ?
« on: 15 May 2014, 18:08:49 »

Hi all, this might be a stupid question but I have to ask.
Where on my 2.2 petrol miggy is the sender for the temp gauge, I know there is a sensor in the block for the ECU and I have changed that so it must be one of the 2 on the rad but which one??? Please help

Back of head. Here`s a pic of the 2.0. Same place but you won`t have the dispack fitted

Make sure the spade connecter is making a proper contact ie it's tight as you slide it on.  :y

OK had a look and there's no wire attached but I can't find a wire hanging that should go on it, where would the wire come from so I might be able to trace it back?

OK found it, its a short wire coming upwards now connected and the gauge works, thank god for that can't afford any more sensors had to put a new MAF on today and fuel filter, new temp sensor for ECU, crank and cam sensors and she still doesn't sound right. I'm thinking she has a year left then off the great carpark in the sky. Thanks for your help.

Mine was as tight as a wizards sleeve when Chris had his hands down there the other day.. quick nip and it's a much better fit.

Maybe I should rephrase all that.. ;D
