A/C pipe
« on: 19 May 2014, 14:18:29 »

Hi guys,

One of my a/c pipes has split on the flexible side of a crimped joint, right on the joint as the rubber goes into the metal.
I'm thinking repair specialist or replacing the whole pipe. I've been to my local vx agent but weren't much use as the pics they pulled up for my car didn't match what's under the bonnet, which I find odd cos the bit I'm talking about is on the right hand side of the engine bay shaped like a soft drinks can with a taper on it, just like all the other v6's I've ever seen.
Could someone please help me with a better description of the part so I don't look quite so daft in the future, and if possible a part number pretty please. Failing that any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Ta very much,

Simon.

Both pipes will disconnect,  they are held in the swivel joints by a circlip, and bolted to the compressor, unless its toward the bulk head then its, glove box, dash out as they connect to the evaporator.
might be somebody on here got some for sale, put wanted advert in. :y

PM received,
That's great, cheers :y

I pass by on the A38 quite regularly on my way to see inlaws in Walsall and was wondering if it might be possible to pick up in person?
Thought it might be nice to meet someone like minded and pay with good old fashioned beer tokens, if not then very happy to pay as per PM.
Thanks again,

Simon.

Hi Guys,

So... just been under the car to remove the pipes. Is it possible without removing anything else? It looks to me like the engine mount is in the way. What about removing the compressor and doing the job off the car? How have/would you do it?

Cheers,

Simon.
