Where are you getting the figures from?

For reference, I'm getting approx. 62 down, 15ish up (impossible to get a clean run on the Zen line) on both of my Zen fibre and BT Infinity for Business lines.  I've about 400m from my cabinet.

The BT Wholesale speedtester should give the sync speed once you've put in the phone number.

Did you go for a full fat one?

Either way, 20Mb is borderline then allowing you to have infinity - how far are you from your cabinet? What state is your house wiring in?

Sync is on the Wholesale tester.

Speed of Infinity is dependent on the distance you are from the cabinet, and the quality of the cabling. Generally, Infinity doesn't like home wiring to be done in a star formation, but straight, as this reduces reflections. Sometimes disconnecting the ringer wire improves sync speed.

Obviously, all this will make sod all difference if you're a million miles from the cabinet, but in an urban area, I'd expect you're not far...

Ignore the OKLA test sites, they are pointless.

Distance from exchange is irrelevant for Infinity/fibre products, its distance from cabinet...

I just don't need that kind of speed. Basic broadband is plenty fast enough for me, and my son seems to manage mario karts online very well.
