How long have you had the same Mobile Number?

It always amazes me how some people seem change there Mobiles Numbers, you know the type, Incoming Text 'My new Number' or you try and get hold of someone onlyto find there on there 3rd or 4th number so far this year. Especially when its so easy to port your number these days.

Ive had my current number for 25 years (yea I know, old fart), and its never been ported (yet) the prefix is 07836 which was the original Vodafone prefix from 0836.

Prior to that number I had my number for about 5 years (Cellnet 0860) and back in them days you couldn't port your Numbers.

Which got me thinking, how long have you had the same Number now?.

Always had the same number .......... 20 odd yrs. It'd been a freebie phone of my Dad's when his BT number was 0410**** now 07710**** and he gave it to me to use as long as I didn't go daft with it. My daughter has always kept the same number too, she's nearly 25 so must've had the number for the past 12/13 yrs

Only 5 years, but it's been on 3 different networks in that time  ;D

18 years... does include early Cellnet 0411 prefix, now 07711 :y

I'm the same. Got my first mob phone (brickish) sometime early 80's with BT Cellnet. Never changed apart from when they stuck the "7" in originally 0860 now 07860. and of course now with O2 who have always been really great !

About 12 years originally with Vodafone, but switched to 3 nearly a year ago.  :)

Not long, as about 15yrs ago, I gave up my personal one which I'd had since the TACS days, as I was allowed to use work one for personal use. And its a great number with a lot of 0's in.

Then, following a TUPE transfer, got moved to Vodashite, struggled with the universal lack of signal everywhere, before going NiffNaff with a new number when they started up.

So about 3 or 4 years ;D

Same number here, was 0802 but changed to 07802, for some 20+ years.............. :y :y

I always change mine when changing mobile provider. Same with my landline, I used to change that number every few years. It stops people that I don't want to know anymore from contacting me so easily. I don't use unsocial media sites, so no way of contacting me there either.

Those that I want to know me, know how to get hold of me, those I don't, don't.
