word of warning.
« on: 29 May 2014, 20:04:06 »

hi guys. i havant had a good day . i recently purchased a a headlght unit from. headlamps direct co.uk. bad move . took my car to a local garage to have it fitted a  2 hour job . now i am without my baby till tommorow. the headlamp states it is for an omega 2000 to 2003. for starters it only takes halagen bulbs. sencondly the car connector has 4 pins and the headlamp they sent has 3. i think this must be a pre facelift headlamp. so after payin 65 pound for that i now have to pay 190 for a headlamp from europarts. i gues the moral of this story is. you dont get anything cheap unless its for a reason. :'(

Do I have this right?

To date you've paid a grand total of £255, and the headlight still hasn't been fitted. :(

Remember that HID and halogen headlights are different (in both mouldings and electrical connectors), and both HIDs and Halogen are fitted to both mini facelifts and facelifts.

MFL and FL headlights are different shapes to each other.

Have a pair of Depo ones waiting to go on mine... exactly as ordered... '99-'03 Xenon D2S £59.99 per side...

Link here, but no pic... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111195351656?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Who made the one you bought?

Last time I bought headlights from Vauxhall for mine, they were £40 each for NOS, retail for the xenon units is/was £280 odd :o
