Have a poke through the RS catalogue in the sparkys shack at work Andy, bound to be some connectors that fit the bill.

You must be joking ....... the best I'd find at work is a roll of insulation tape for use after I'd twisted the wires together  ::)  ;D  ;D
Sorry mate I was forgetting, electricity is still regarded as a form of witchcraft in parts of Pieland.

They had problems the other week trying to keep the HV stuff in the cables ........ though the fire was very quickly contained!  ??? ??? ???

God only knows how the mining industry survived as long as it did round there.
