Might not hurt to replace the bearing in the tensioner pulley, might get hot and stick slightly, and if you were giving it large when it broke...

Have killed a water pump on a car by finding second instead of fourth ::)

I will check it out, I was creeping out of asda parking space when it let go and immediately switched off :y
