This was a forgone conclusion, they have virtually banned smoking, so they move onto alcohol.  >:(

Very systematic.

Soon, the only place to drink will be in one of the many smoke filled bars in the Houses of Parliment

Yes and at the same time they are losing tax revenue on smoking, and drinking will suffer the same if sales fall.

If that happens, where do the Government go to find more tax revenue to replace that lost?........FUEL!!! >:( >:( >:( >:(

OY!! What are you implying Steve? ::)

Seriously though, I think the Government want to ban just about everthing we enjoy........cars, ciggies, booze, pubs etc. Don't tell Gordon Brown that sex is enjoyable because he'll want to tax it or ban it!! >:(

One of my friends is the Landlord of our local pub and he showed me an article in one of his trade papers which said that pub's in this country are closing down at a rate of 35 per month!! :'(  Most of these are pubs that have been crippled by the smoking ban because they don't have gardens or outside area's.

I'm sure you're old enough not to need spoon feeding ;).

Its been on the BBC News yet again today - they are trying to make drinking socially unacceptable, like driving with mobile, driving with no seatbelt, drink driving, etc
