I completed my passport renewal application on line and sent the completed documents on the 11th June during the media frenzy over HM Passport Office "crisis".

Received today, the 20th June, my new passport.

So, what crisis, what problems?

Over reaction by the press at a non storey as usual to bash which ever politician they don't like on the day.

best phone the daily frail and de-bunk the passport storey.

Obviously a separate department for important civil servants such as yourself 

Or they took one look at your name, and thought, 'Oh God, it's her again. Best process it sharpish lest we never hear the end of it'

But what about the quality of Service?

i.e.. does the picture in your Passport resemble anything like the one you sent them?, does your name (or names if you told them you have more than one) add up to the same number of letters (assuming they dont contain characters like *@# or swear words) and are in the right order, and more important, being female and a young Lady at heart, did they get your age correct?
