cutting out at idle
« on: 27 June 2014, 19:55:02 »

Hi all I am back a again with an irritating problem with the meeg.
The car is a 2.5v6 omega b auto....car runs mint only 58 K only problem is its keeps stalling at idle ...fault code came up with crank sensor so had it changed at local garage they got the part from vauxhall......now its still stalling.....basically revs drop then they shoot up like a power surge then idles over perfect for another 30 seconds or so and repeates but will cut out all together on after a while but will start up and drive fine. Coming up with faulty rpm now!!.......any ideas please 😟

Is it any better with the MAF disconnected? It will put the management light on, but might idle. That was what was wrong with mine. A replacement MAF sorted it, although new ones are damned expensive.
