Hi,

Does anyone know the diameter of the handbrake cable where it passes through the bracket on the suspension arm.

I suspect the bracket on n/s has weakened & the cable keeps slipping through & opening  up the hole.

I'll nip out to the garage and check on the new one I have

They all do that when they get old. The coiled bracket on the suspension arm get rusty and brittle and the able pulls through it. Cure is a washer on the cable.

15.85mm metal collar and the cable is 3.8mm outer plastic cover is 10mm

Crimp the bracket up a bit

I crimped it up a week ago & it's started to pull through again already, I was planning to put a washer on the outer cable collar.
