If your mechanic can't find the ICV on your V6 then I suggest that he's not very good. It's staring you in the face as you look at the engine .... right hand side at the top (as you stand in front of the car)

If you say what your problems are here, then I'm sure that you'll get the answers you need.

Yes, the fact he/she can neither find it or work out what it does is a very BAD sign!  ;D :y

As above, if your 'mechanic' doe not know what it does or where it is, I'd find a new mechanic  :o  ;D

Have you had the fault codes read?

If not, why not?

If yes, what were they?

Apologies for being terse, but it's hard enough to diagnose summat unseen as it is, but when only being given snippets of information, it becomes impossible :-\

You have yet to confirm whether the crank sensor has been changed or not... it's the one next to the oil filter, assuming your mechanic can find that :-X

To be honest, if your mechanic is using words to you like, changed them, cleaned Carburettor, cant find ICV and what does it do, I think you really need to stop know and change your mechanic or ask for some help from any OOF Mobile Mechanics on here.  ;)
