Groaning PAS
« on: 01 August 2014, 19:35:14 »

At parking/manoeuver speeds the pas on my Dti seems to groan a lot

Little, if any, loss of assistance.

Known good pump fitted after last one fell to bits and leaked

New drive belt, nice and tight

Fluid flushed out with dex2

Any ideas? :y

Could be the rack, maybe with the pump running dry it did some damage to the steering rack itself, or theres a blockage somewhere...?
