hi all can anyone tell me where the throttle position sensor is on my omega 2.2 16v 2002 ? also does this have any control over auto box gear changes ? :)

Autobox is reliant on RPM signal from crank sensor. There are two TPS`s, one incorporated into throttle body, other is at top of throttle pedal. What symptoms have you got?
Reply #2 in your other thread mentions a non genuine crank sensor ::)

hi thanks for reply. re- crankshaft sensor i had that changed as car wouldnt start when engine was warm, even after a short journey 1-2 miles. car now starts ok but now have the autobox issue !! also i have been told the rpm sensor on gearbox might be faulty ? any tips greatly appreciated  :)

Was the crank position sensor a genuine one bought in person from a real, live Vauxhall dealer?

If not, the buy a genuine one, in person from a real, live Vauxhall dealer, that you actually, physically have to go to rather than a pretend one on Egay etc, and report back :y

sadly it was bought from an auto spares shop for £20 as vauxhall dealer wanted £99.60 so thought i would try cheaper option. will now order a genuine one, thanks
