Doctor Opti's latest car purchase?

A 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO recently sold at Bonhams for a record $34.65 million (£20.77 million) and is the most expensive car ever!  :o  :)

Very nice. Just remembered with a chuckle the write up in Nick Mason's book about using his 250GTO in the 1970's to take his kids to school, in the snow, when his Volvo failed to start.

I wonder if he'd do the same today? ::)

Now, even Opti would agree, that what car can be worth anything like that price?! :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

Even I wouldn't pay that price, no more than I would buy an £18,000 handbag. ::) ::) ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

After watching James May on Sunday I'm thinking of investing in a Lada Riva or  Polski Fiat. :y

Of course, I'll need a loan for either of these 'Iron Curtain' specials.. :'( :'( :'(
