So Chris, you're the expert at posting threads on stuff that'll wind Cem up all things Omega. Reckon it's worth a ''Vx Early Fail'' thread?  ;)

What happened here? I go away for 24 hours and look at what happens.

Quite differing opinions. Not sure what to do. With lots of little things failing on the Omega, I am not sure a £200 set of springs is the best choice currently. Although I completely see CG's point re: value rather than outright cost.

Hmm, decisions, decisions!

Gives wrong picture I think.  Parts fitted from factory last way better. Shocks on my 2.2
Lasted 8 years and 150k odd. Webby got 3 years out of his GM shocks. TB also stated poor life from GM shocks.

Factory exhaust lasts 10 years/100k easy, would exhaust bought now from a dealer do that now? No, from experience. One bought for father t after the quality dipped Lasted 4 years.

Why are you so sure that springs bought now will last? Its clear parts are not what they used to be, to me anyway. Omega ended production years ago, Vx will sell cheapest parts they can. As they no longer main stream service or do warrenty or fleet service.

Luckily gaskets and sensors still good.

Your thinking is clearly out if tune currently.

1 as said. Two sets of mv6 springs fitted from vx parts dept. on this car and previous. Non problems.

2 again as said, the thread in gen car chat does go further into dealer supplied parts. Not that you've noticed. ::)

3 you have no experience of dealer supplied springs and seem to think buying an exhaust is a good insight into suspension parts.

4 shut up Tunnie your talking shite! again. ;D Christ almighty. ;D
