There was a rubber tube I had with little rubber pimples/spikes on it, I found that quite effective, but not on every material.

Get a strong card board tube, and put some brown parcel tape arround it with the sticky on the outside and then roll it accross carpets, seats etc

For more detail wrap cellotape arround your hand to get into the more detailed places.

Also, (some may disagree)  a rotary turbo head on your hoover, as the likes of the Dyson Animal.   :y

I had one of them and i think it was called a prufit and it was great for the getting rid of the dog hair.

Good for cleaning really naff paintwork as well.

Spray on a dry car from the sills upwards in a very light fanned out spray, allways spray from the bottom as it streaks the paint as it runs down dry paint work.

As you have sprayed one side then do the other side, the fron and backworking upwards all the time.

Steam clean round the car starting in the same order and place you put the TFR on.

Hot water (rather than steam ) is better than the cold water pressure sprays for this.

Gets all the baff out of the rubber seals on doors and windows, gets in where polish cant etc.

Leather off, use a good wiper blade to squegee the water off 1st.

Good quality polish and then do the glass, trim and rubber dressing, and heypresto you have a superb exterior valet on your escort vans etc.

Works very well on white and saves having to T-cut which takes paint off.  (Actually so does polish, just not as much, the tell tale is, if your polish cloth end s up the same colour as your car, then you are removing paint.  The faster it turns the colour of your car, the more/deepers it cuts into the paint)

Also dont forget Trade TFR waters down 25/1 to 80/1 and then dilutes through steam cleaners again for engine steam slaing.  So really is quite a cheap claning method.

I hate to admit it's not unknown for me to remove the wheels, clean & polish the inner rims & re-fit 'em......not every weekend though.
   I like the wheel cleaner thingy but with regular cleaning of disc dust, road film there's no need. I admit to being a valet tart. Mine get's parked in a filthy hauliers yard all week so no excuses folks, muck washes off. I cringe when i see someone wash thier car & leave it wet, over time that water eats into your paint, you've washed & rinsed it, only takes a few more minutes to shammy it off & the results are worthwhile.
     Sorry to go on but is it only me?
   P.S. Got Planet Rock on, now playing Zep, Dazed & confused, biking memories!
