3 votes per member as some have more than one car or had more than one set of springs.

Had my mig nearly 5 years, done a lot of heavy towing, and never needed to be changed in my ownership.
Looking at previous history file, nothing there to indicate having ever been changed.
Just lucky i guess, although it's the far superior facelift which may account for this  :P :P :P

We talking rears only.  :-\

Just replaced my rears as the pigtail snapped off. They were the original springs so that's over eleven years.  :y  Towed our caravan and occasionally overloaded loaded it with slabs/block paving etc.  ::)

Voted.  :y

Rears seam to brake most, but I suspect mostly self levelling. But no not just rears. Fronts too on life.

I have to say, all 3 of my cars had vx springs when they came to me. Only self levelling ones broke on my previous car, as said they are quite soft and thin at the ends. Replaced with mv6 on that one.

First omega was a 2.5 cdx no issues on a 99 plate. Sold in 07, so 8 years old springs.

Second/ previous omega 52 plate, to 07. 4.5 years on the sl springs.

Current car had LA springs and rode too high, seems fitted from new at the dealer. 03 car changed 2012 for mv6 rears and Irmscher fronts. So mv6 are 2 years old. LA 6 years old.

Mine have done almost 10 years and 270,000 miles.

Don't understand what people do to break them as mine aren't exactly treated gently ::)

Btw currently original plod sprins with fully functional self levelling :y

About 6 years (5 years not in my ownership) and 85k, failed MOT on them a year after I bought it.

Similar time for fatherT's 2.2 as well, as I remember replacing them too  ::)

Just noticed that I put 4mm, which has nothing to do with springs. I noticed who had started the thread and just assumed it was about tyres.  ;D
