SACHS REAR SPRINGS
« on: 23 August 2014, 08:06:53 »

Anyone tried these from eurocarparts?

I recently bought a pair of Supplex which are quite firm and raise the ride height by an inch

Sachs were the OE suppliers of the front struts on Omega's but not sure about the springs, front or rear. I've still got my original old front struts and rear springs in the garage (trip to the tip required) so I'll have a look, if I remember, to see if they are labelled. My original front struts are definitely labelled as GM/Sachs.
I've got Sachs on the rear of my elite and they seem ok, as far as elite's go.  :)

If buying from euroshiteparts, I'd order online - at least you have the chance of newish stock. I reckon, looking at wishbones I've seen from branches that stock sits on the shelves for years.

An inch is a lot. Standard ride height is 675mm to the wheel arch iirc...?

....or same as the front.
