R28 box removal?
« on: 12 September 2014, 17:18:19 »

Taking the box out of the dti and have the prop off, all bell housing bolts that I can find and will be dropping it out in the morning. Question is is there anything behind the top of the engine bolt wise, I can't feel any but would be surprised if there wasn't !

The bolts aren't quite symmetrical... There's one just off centre at the top, but I can't remember which side :-[

Remove the rubber box under the gear lever, pop both spring clips off and pop the pin out. There's two 13mm bolts at the front of the gear lever bracket plus two torx bolts at the back end of it. Removing all these makes it easier to pull the box back otherwise you need three hands. No need to touch the selector lever beyond removing the pin to the gearlever.

Should then pull straight off, with a bit of jiggling :y
