Welcome to mobile resellers ;)

Still, IME, the network franchised shops are no better, having been forcefully ejected from a Three store for telling the thick bimbo that I was the customer, and her suggestions for "helping" where as much use as a used johnny smeared in dogshit, which appeared to be the final straw.  I never did get the opportunity to ram the simcard up her harris, as I promised...   ...still, I did hear the bloke buying a Galaxy on a 2yr contract say he was changing his mind, which made it all worth it :)

I recall these guys outside their local shop pretty much pestering passers by, much like the charity chuggers.

For me, totally lacking any credibility, and their attitude stank of "get an order, whatever it takes"

Not long ago SWMBO went in just for a cheapo PAYG, and then found chunks of cash coming out of her bank account. They really lied to her about the how/why

Good riddance  >:(   Dodgy used car dealers, dodgy estate agents, fones4U . . . . . all much the same

Potty Mouth... ;D

I had a Three contract in my late mothers name...she died and I notified Three and sent copy of Death certificate, account closed.

Only it wasn't as the bills kept coming (not in use just the standard £25 per month)...called and explained she is dead and the accounts closed, they wouldn't have any of it.

So ive asked to port the number...£169 to port as the contract hadn't finished, ummm it has we burnt her last week im saying,no no the account is still live and its £169 to port number.

Ive asked who gets the £169 to which they say "Obviously the account holder"...hmmm you mean the one who is dead,to which they replied "Yes sir would you like to go ahead".

Week later they bill my dead mother £169.... ::) ;D

Without wanting to sound racist...they were Indian, spoke to various departments (above is the short version) and none seemed to know what the other had done/was doing or even what they were doing.

Luckily I wasn't sorry when the old hag died so them billing her and having to deal with these muppets wasn't an issue, damn sure if it was a loved parent who had died then the whole episode would have been quite upsetting.

I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did given this info ...

"On Thursday, a group of creditors who hold £430m of debt issued by Phones 4U offered to swap some of what they were owed for a stake in the company."

and

"However, the networks have suggested the company was so indebted that it was not able to make money without unrealistic payments from operators. BC Partners has been criticised for taking £200m out of the business last year to cover its initial investment."

so just how is any company allowed to run up that much debt ??

It would appear the Bigger you are the more debt run can run up, then the more debt they run up entitles them to more credit.

Unfortunately the opposite applies to the genuine small business or one man bands, if they get into difficulties the lenders or creditors just slam the door, normally followed by the Bank, Vat Man or whoever, hunting them down ready to cash in on their Assets, House, Vehicles etc, the whole system is wrong.

Its how much debt you can run up with one supplier that counts....

£10-20k most biggish suppliers can take the hit if they make you bankrupt....they know they will get nothing back in doing so....but can cope without getting paid.

When you start talking of suppliers you owe £50k + then they have a hard decision to make in making you bankrupt.....thats a lot to loose, so most suppliers that you that amount of money to, will sit on fence and do nothing.....in the hope that you in the future can pay them.
