BT Mail changes
« on: 02 October 2014, 13:27:37 »

Anyone else having problems with BT Mail. They have changed the system, hiked the prices....and now nothing works. Incompetent lot. Are they fit to run the UK broadband infrastructure...I think not. >:(
Today, businesses, and private are unable to get e-mail from BT Mail. Their comment...'Its ongoing...we are trying to fix it.'
I think a tenner off the next bill would help with customer relations....with an apology!!!! Quick enough to up their prices for a crap service >:(

Check the link to see their outages.....

Yes, I have had the same all morning with that polite message after ringing 150 that "our engineers are working hard to fix the problem"!!

Apparently it should be gradually coming back during the coarse of the day.  We shall see ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

I hope you are right Lizzie..... :-\
It always happens when you are awaiting something important.
I feel for those businesses that are suffering. I thought at first it was my Outlook playing up, but then tried from My BT and BT Mail and had same the result.

Power is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how much of the wall you take with you.

BT say problem resolved...just tried e-mails. It seems that for the first time in my computer life I have not got any e-mails sent me today !!!!!!!!!!!!!
They have certainly solved that one. I wonder how many business mails have been lost. >:(

Ah, you see, see when they took on PlusNet, they learnt how PlusNet used to manage email...  ...badly ;D

Fortunately, business customers should be using a business service (one of mine  :-X) not the consumer one, that recently got dragged back in from Yahoo.  Both Business Broadband (a cut down Exchange product) and full business customers (BTnet) get SLAs. That's why you pay ;)

Personally, my mail provider is not ISP based, email is too important to me to be a "freebie" thrown in with an internet connection.

Can you access e-mail, Mike :)

Mine have started after 4.30pm....but no normal daily e-mails, only the ones sent to me after that time.
Just hope there was nothing important lost.

Yes, all the usual crap coming through...... ::) ::)  I don't do very much serious emailing from this account, I mostly use my work email, the address tends to have power and influence in many cases........ ;) ;) :D :D

I am assuming you have had the e-mail from BT informing you that you will be moved, and have had to change your passwords so one username and pw fits all ? :y
If you have had no probs you are lucky, as the link i put in shows problems all round the country
