Its all a bit of a minefield , i replaced some pads and discs on my fathers Toyota .. he nearly went through the windscreen when trying them out  ;D but previously the brakes were soft and lacked feel. £54 for the new kit from the bay , also as mentioned using the brakes like your in an F1 race obviously wont make them last very long  ;D

How about Pagid disks which I'm sure someone here reckoned are the OE manufacturers anyway.  £67.08 from ECP for the pair.

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Vauxhall_Omega_2.6_2003/p/car-parts/brakes/brake-friction/brake-disc/?104720078&1&1fe43dd24b406756c968da649c6dbe40b53a3d61&000027

and Padgid pads are £21.30.

http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Vauxhall_Omega_2.6_2003/p/car-parts/brakes/brake-friction/brake-pad/?101720078&1&61acb52414a24fcd9a8d967a7468078a61b0d430&000036

Total = £88.38, so about the same as genuine VX on TC which is £90ish.

Are you sure they are identical to genuine GM parts?

Nope.  :D  ;D  But I think Pagid are a fairly decent brand.  It might have been Mr Gixer that suggested they were OE suppliers.  :-\

Can't you persuade your dealer to do them at TC prices?  Maybe you should send your Sister in Law in!  ;)  :y

I might have said it before, but just because manufacture A makes for B & C it doesn't mean they both get the same quality .... especially if C want to sell them cheaper than B does.

Put Pagid discs all round on Mrs VXL's Alhambra along with genuine pads. Cheapest supplier of Pagid I could find was Euro Car Parts via Ebay and then pick up on the way back from work. Pagid seem to be well respected in the trade.
